Qualipso was present in the 10th International FLOSS Forum in Porto Alegre, Brazil, one of the largest free and open source event in the world with the presence of almost 10 thousand people. The event was held from June 24 to 27, 2009 and was visited by important members from the international FLOSS community, coming from governments, corporations, and FLOSS projects; this included Brazilian president, Lula, who visited the event and gave a speech.

Besides a Qualipso Competence Centre booth, a Qualipso track was held with 10 lectures related to the Qualipso Project and to the activities of the Qualipso Brazilian Competence Centre at USP.

During the event, hundreds of visitors came to the Qualipso Competence Centre booth and talked to the Competence Centre members to learn more about their work, discuss the associated projects, and discuss various collaboration opportunities.
